As I was born in Terneuzen in The Netherlands in 1936 and spent some of my childhood there until 1949. Since then I have lived in the USA and Canada intermitently and never lost my interest in the country I was born in. On numerous occasions I have visited the European continent and of course Great Britain, but never failed to come to the place where I was origianaly reared. It was always a pleasure to drive through the polders there and it made me wonder how on earth that the Dutch people had enough enginuety to accomplish these kind of fetes, takink land from the sea and then grow crops on the same. I am familiar with the polders in your scope. They are a beautiful example of the technical know-how, engineering and hard work that must have been spent to wrest them away from the sea or the river estuary or whatever. Then while browsing the net I came upon the fact that some foolhearted induviduals that are supposedly considered "Wise Men " as they are on the Government in the Netherlands in some or other capacity and want the sea to take them over again? What idiocy. It is the former generations that accomplished this hard work. Tell those idiots, that they should think about this very seriously and take in regard,if they could ask the people that took part in the construction and toil to create these polders,what there answer would be. The fact is that I am a Canadian citizen who has the blood of a Dutchman running through his vains and is additionaly very much opposed to the idea of "Ontpoldering", as I cannot see any benifits arising out of this project, but can understand a tremedous "Oposition to it. I do not realy think that the nature benifits will outweigh the benifits that  the occupants of these parcels of land offer them. I do hope that these "Ontpoldering Fools" find their brains back and abandon this stupid idea. Thank you for giving me the chance to voice my thought on this issue and give you the full right to use this little item in your arsenal to fight this rediculous conception.
